Chad Smith ‘13 – Chad graduated with a B.S. in Accounting. He grew up in Newnan, GA.  During his studies at Oglethorpe University, he held many leadership positions around campus including Resident Assistant,  Treasurer of Student Government Association, Student Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Honor Council. After interning at CohnReznick, he accepted a full-time position as an auditor in the Atlanta office. After spending several years and gaining valuable experience as an auditor traveling around the United States, decided that he wanted to use his talents to help more people make better financial decisions and reach their personal goals. Chad took a new path as a financial advisor with Edward Jones where everyday he has an opportunity to live the Oglethorpe mantra “make a life. Make a living. Make a difference” every day. Chad spends his time volunteering in his community and spreading financial literacy. He is a member of the West End Rotary Club. Chad is still involved with Oglethorpe through the Young Alumni Club as well as helping with the accounting program.
