On Sunday, April 19, Atlanta Streets Alive will make its 2015 debut by returning to the Historic West End.

Organized by the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition with the help of sponsors, Atlanta Streets alive will shut down nearly four miles of road in the West End, allowing pedestrians, cyclists, skateboarders and the like to flood the streets of the historic neighborhood, with a plethora of activities and music along the route.

This year’s route will include Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, Lee Street, and White Street, which also hosts part of the Atlanta Beltline’s West End Trail. Pedestrians and bicyclists will also enjoy car-free streets along Peeples Street, home to some of the neighborhood’s trademark houses and bungalows.

Last September the street festival attracted over 106,000 people to northeast Atlanta, perhaps the event’s largest turnout thus far. More details are expected to be released closer to April 19.
