NPU-T: Atlanta Ambassador Essay Package

Good Morning,

We, the Office of Recreation in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools, Strategic Service Learning Collaborative, The National Youth Leadership Council and Diversified Hospitality Institute are re-designing our Teen Program to Pilot Fall 2012 at four recreation centers (one in each quadrant of the city).

In preparation for our new Teen model we are training 8 Teen Ambassadors to represent each quadrant of the City (4 females and 4 males) by sending them to Minneapolis to the National Service Learning Conference as an initial introduction to the foundation of the program. We are using an Essay contest to select those Ambassadors along with evidence of their involvement in Leadership activities in school or community.

Call or email for an application, criteria and a Teen registration form. Please share with those who know of Teens who may be interested in representing Atlanta as our Teen Ambassadors.

Thank you,

Corliss R. Davenport
