BeltLine Cleanup day was

Amazing…

Uplifting

Encouraging

It was awesome to see SO many volunteers to help kick off the clean up in the West End, Westview section of Atlanta. I, as a resident, am truly thankful to all who do not live in this area that ventured out to help. I had NO clue what to expect…. especially being assigned to the Trash Pickup group……yikes! *I thought I signed to cut down vines* LOL… but hey, I go with the flow. It’s MY community right? Apparently it is MY community and the home to MUCH hidden construction debris. Would you believe right on Langhorn, hidden in the Kudzu we found house doors, bathroom tile (in tack- 1/4th of a wall) several car batteries, MUCH molded sheet rock, rusty paint cans, huge plastic primer cans, counter tops-granite (* hidden treasure lol) brooms and the list could go on and on- to summerize- we found a HOUSE..lol.. or what WAS a house. It was amazing..and I didn’t get grossed out by picking up all the rusty stuff (with gloves) lol.. which, if you know me,the thought of rust next to me freaks me out.

I might have some pictures to post later- one of the volunteers said she would email me a few.. 🙂 Hope to get those to you soon!
