What’s going on in West End…Westview?

…many new developments.

Westview collected money for their street toppers. This is very exciting! Now you will see “Westview” when driving through their community and no more mistaking their homes for West End homes 🙂 I know the neighbors are very proud. I’m very proud and have happily contributed to the purchase of a street topper.

Westview will also have a community BBQ on May 3rd (you can stop in West End for the tour of homes, and continue to Westview to eat!) ‘It’s Our Neighborhood’ community association is coordinating this.

Trees Atlanta will begin their Beltline Arboretum planting on Saturday April 12th

Visit http://westviewatlanta.com/  for more information. The developers of this site do an awesome job of maintaining it.

West End will kick off the summer with a wonderful May Day/ Tour of Homes celebration starting May 2-4th.  The celebration will kick off with a concert  at the Wren’s Nest Amphitheater 7-10PM featuring Jazz artist  Theresa Hightower (www.theresahightower.com). Tickets are $25.  You can also buy a single concert and tour of homes ticket combo for $40! Check out (http://atlantawestend.com/myjoomla/content/view/46/72/ )

You dont want to miss the tour- come out and see the lovely historic homes of West End. There are some on the list that have all the orginal detailing and others beautifully renovated. Experience the old and new! Besides viewing owned homes, we have and are making arragements to have the available (For SALE) homes open this day! Now you’ll be able to obtain buying information onsite and possibly begin the process to owning within our community 🙂

Now on the NPU-T front. Did you miss it? … the foreclosure screening?   If you did, you missed a special treat.  We had a great time at our NPU-T meeting yesterday. With over 100 people in attendance, council members, civic leaders and neighbors from NPU-V- the debuteof “When a House Is Not A Home”  was a success!  Brent and Paulette did a wonderful job and provided us with a very nice catered menu after.

Kudos go out to many neighbors that are volunteering their time and have been accepted into the Policy Institute for Civic Leadership:

What next? Check out all the community websites to your right——>

P.S. I will be adding photo’s of some of the newly renovated available homes – I love home photo’s, dont you?
