RESOLUTION 2013 – OWN IT!
You are invited to our 10th Committed to Communities event on Saturday, June 29th! We will be returning to Westview, due to the storm that dampened our last effort there. The neighbors in Westview are eager for us to showcase homeownership opportunities in their community. The starting point for this home and community tour is 1740 Rogers Avenue, SW, 30310. Guests will be able to pick up maps for the self-guided tour, obtain refreshments and meet our team of partners. The tour will include some homes in walking distance and some homes that will require driving. Real estate professionals will be on hand to help individuals achieve homeownership in 2013:
- Down payment assistance providers will be available to explain how to obtain funds that can help you with your purchase, including NeighborhoodLIFT – $15,000. (Less than 170 NeighborhoodLIFT opportunities remaining.)
- Loan officers will be on hand to discuss 203k renovation loans for purchasing an affordable fixer-upper, as well as traditional financing for ready-to-go homes.
- Homebuyer education providers will explain the steps to become a fully informed buyer.
The current low cost Atlanta housing market offers an unprecedented opportunity to purchase a home and start investing in your future! With the much-anticipated Atlanta BeltLine adding value and appeal to city neighborhoods, the communities of Southwest Atlanta are attractive destinations for those who wish to live close to downtown while surrounding themselves with a small-town feel.
In addition to open house tours like this one, the Committed to Communities program works to promote Atlanta Beltline communities through community-wide clean-ups, hosting barbecues in local parks and actively renovating vacant homes.
