Art on the Beltline Events this weekend
This weekend’s events and schedule for Art on the Beltline. Feel free to pass this message on to your neighbors, friends, and family.
Friday, September 30th
Location: Historic Fourth Ward Park
- 6:30 p.m. – Spiral of Sound Crystal Bowl Choir, Peace Spiral
- 8-10 pm – Center for Civil and Human Rights “Films That Matter” series, featuring the Movie “Philadelphia” FREE
Saturday, October 1st
- 4-7 p.m. – Artist Walk on the Westside: This is one of three walks where we will explore the Art of the Atlanta Beltline exhibition on foot and have artists give us the history and inspiration of their work. We will start the walk at the southern end (intersection of Allene Avenue and Catherine Street in 30310). The other walks will be October 16 (southeast) and November 18th (northeast). We will also have an artists’ panel on October 20 at H. Harper Station. All events are on our Facebook page.
Saturday, October 1st
Location: The Wren’s Nest, 1050 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW, Atlanta
- 4-7 p.m. — Crossover Movement Arts, Zentropy, and Akbar Imhotep present an enchanting tour through time and place, starting at The Wren’s Nest House Museum and moving through the West End neighborhood to the Atlanta Beltline. Sand dancing, soundscapes and stories draw lines that cross and connect space and time. Free tours of The Wren’s Nest at 4:00 p.m., show starts at 4:30 p.m. Thanks to a grant from Art on the Beltline, this performance is free of charge.
