***NPU-T Bylaws Meeting!!!***

Dear Interested Members of NPU-T,

The Bylaws Committee will hold its next regular committee meeting tonight, Wednesday, August 20, 2008. This committee meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the home of NPU Secretary Scott Smith, 481 W. Ontario Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 (404.487.2162)

The purpose of tonight’s Bylaws Committee meeting is for the committee to discuss amendments to the bylaws that have been submitted and are now under consideration. The committee will try to identify the proposed amendments that it can easily agree on and defer the rest for review over the course of the remainder of 2008 and before September 2009.

A special bylaws session will also be conducted on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Location to be determined, but most likely at the Founders Hall of the Shrine of the Black Madonna). At that special session there will be more time to allow the general body to discuss the bylaws and ask as many questions as they wish. As a reminder, we must vote on our bylaws at the September meeting and submit them to the City by September 30.

Any member who wants to suggest bylaws revisions should propose them in writing to Bylaws Chair Oni Holley as soon as possible so that they can be discussed at the August 27 meeting. We welcome your participation tonight and on August 27. However, at tonight’s committee meeting we hope to move forward quickly with our work, and thus discussion by non-committee members will unfortunately necessarily be limited.
